This trip happened in 2012, but I think it was the spark that started the fire.  We still are not “fulltime RVers as of June 2017” but we aspire to be.  But the idea has certainly crossed our minds.  This trip took us from San Diego, CA back to Chicago, IL.  We pulled a Uhaul trailer with a Toyota Rav4, probably overweight, across the U.S and through the mountains successfully.

Packed up in the car, somewhere in Utah, I think.

So the rumor is that a picture says a 1000 words.  I would say, sure, but images express no emotions.  The feeling of driving through these rock formations was amazing.  The color, shapes, contrast with the sky, intermixed vegetation, was beautiful and the pictures don’t do it justice.  The drive was thought provoking, visually enlightening, and touched a part of our souls.

Well, not quite straight up but a good climb for the kids. Certainly harder to get down than up.

We would pull off the road on our drive and find these paths cut out of the rocks. They were great to walk through.

Someone has to work on this trip... Actually my wife worked most days remote while the kids and I went on hiked around the area. Hopefully next time we can all hike.

Bryce Canyon, Utah didn’t disappoint.  It became one of our favorite places in the U.S.  We hope to get back and soon.  The people were great and the area was beautiful.
