We stopped here because this is part of our Thousand Trails Zone Pass membership. We needed to fill a couple of days before our two week stay in Williamsburg and booked here for 4 days. This is a year round campground with a lot of people who enjoy outdoor activities.  This might be one of the most active campgrounds with people outside having campfires and hanging out.  People were friendly and the noise quieted down at quiet time.  This was the first campground we stayed at where we checked in at the front gate and then drove around and picked our spot.  That was an interesting experience. We were there in early October so the pool was closed.  Roads are a little narrow but drivable with many potholes.  The front gate is constantly manned. They have a good playground, courts, and arcade. It is right on the Piankatank River and has other fishing ponds on the grounds. It is very close to the Historic Triangle and we went to Yorktown Battlefield. We would stay here again but I would bring a kayak and some fishing equipment.
