We stayed in Auburndale, FL at the Cabana Club Rv Resort. Right next-door is the Elite Cable Park. It offered the kids a chance to try some water sports and they jumped at the opportunity.

Jean Lafitte Swamp Stroll

Jean Lafitte National Preserve Hike

While in New Orleans we went for a walk in the swamp. The video makes it look like it was all fun and games but the girls were really timid, especially our youngest. The walking path we chose through the Jean Lafitte National Preserve was about 4 miles long. We had no close calls but the first mile was a slow tiptoe down the path. The path was soft at points and would give pretty significantly when we walked over it but it was safe. It took a couple of miles but the girls did finally become comfortable walking the trail past the snakes and alligators.
