Ohiopyle, PA, good times
Ohiopyle, PA is a small community in the Laurel Highland mountains of Fayette County, just down the road from Bear Run and Fallingwater the home of EJ Kaufmann built by Frank Lloyd Wright. The name Ohiopyle is from a Native American Indian word "ohiopehhla" meaning white frothy water. We were drawn here by Fallingwater but the area has so much more to offer. The Ohio Pyle State Park has many activities we didn't have time for but will try to come back at another time to enjoy.
We did however enjoy walking the river and finding a natural waterslide.

The water was at a great level for the kids, not too high. They would get stuck at a couple of points but it was better then some of the videos on youtube of the river being high and fast. The kids loved the ride. It was recommended that if we come again, wear jean shorts over their bathing suits to make it a smoother ride.
Two days at the Jellystone in Mill Run, PA went by so fast. We packed our things that evening and woke at 7:30am to begin our journey to Connecticut. The drive through Pennsylvania was absolutely beautiful. That was the best 10hrs of driving I have ever had to do. We set ourselves up in Mystic, CT at an RV campground called Seaport RV and Campground where our next adventure begins.
