Jamestown Settlement, Historic Triangle

This was our second stop in the Historic Triangle (Yorktown, Jamestown, Williamsburg).  Earlier this week, on Veterans Day, we honored our fallen heroes by learning about the battle of Yorktown at the Yorktown Battlefield NPS.  Today we purchased a seven day pass to multiple museums in the Historic Triangle. The Jamestown Settlement is a living history museum run by the state of Virginia.

We stayed here so we could visit Niagara Falls, it is about 20 - 30 mins away. This was a clean well run campground. Sites are a good size, ours was a little bigger because it was the first on the line. We have a 34' travel trailer that we parked without a problem. This campground is right on Lake Ontario and on a clear day can see Canada. There is a lot of open space and had a relaxed atmosphere.

Niagara Power Company Visitor's Center

This was a great little place we found on a brochure.  The Niagara Power Company generates the largest amount of hydroelectric power in the country.  The damn has a visitors center and museum.  It is very well done.  I wasn't expecting much and was very surprised.  I was so busy playing with the exhibits I didn't take many pictures. Oh and it is FREE, yep!
