Throw Back to June 2019

We had visited many Indian ruins in the west but none as complete or interesting as these. The Alcove Trail at Bandelier National Monument provides many opportunities to explore the petroglyphs, niches, and ruins. Climbing ladders, rock stairs and trails built thousands of years ago submerged us into the history of the people who used to live here. The difference in weather we experience across the country is incredible. Traveling across 45 states in 4 years we have seen it all. The storms in North Dakota present with an amazing light show. Medora, North Dakota near the Theodore Roosevelt National Forest is an amazing place to spend some time in the summer. Last night I was able to catch an incoming storm and the lightning was incredible.

Surprises abound at Custer State Park in South Dakota!! We have been looking for the buffalo for two weeks and finally they showed up and took over. The rules are clear, do not approach the buffalo, but if the buffalo are all over the road and the ranger is asking you to drive through them then getting close is expected. We took some great video. And my daughter learned a little about holding the phone in landscape mode when recording. Enjoy!! We have more great videos on the way!!

We celebrate our independence by living our dream, our RV American Dream. Showing our children this amazing country and meeting people from all over the world is inspiring them to chase their own dreams.

We have been staying at Heartland RV Park Every Friday and Saturday they have live music. This song was sung by Greg Johnson and the Friday Nighters on July 2, 2021 at Heartland RV Park. We highly recommend a night or two here. They do a great job and the location is fantastic!!

Get out and celebrate your independence, this last years has been a clear example of how fragile it is.

Fall 2020 we took a drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway. Finally drove past Craggy Gardens, we always stop and hike it, and ended up at Mount Mitchell. What a drive! Beautiful colors, great overlooks, amazing blue sky, it was the perfect day. This is about 2 hours of GoPro 8 video edited down to 5 minutes. It was tough to choose. Enjoy!!

We also hiked Mount Mitchell and that will be in another video soon!! Here is a quick video we took at the top.

The Other Side of the Smokies

We recap our first week on the North Carolina side of the Smoky Mountains. We drove down to Cataloochee Valley and watch the elk. We baked some pies from scratch and headed to Deep Creek Smoky Mountain National Park and went tubing down the river. To make it even more exciting we strapped a GoPro to the tube so you can experience the tubing with Aurora! Enjoy!!
